Living in Lisbon

Lisbon is a city full of authenticity where old customs and ancient history intermix with cultural entertainment and hi-tech innovation.

If you dream of living in a cosmopolitan city where you feel safe wandering around day or night, where people are friendly and sun shines 300 days a year. Imagine living in a country where you can find all that and also a huge diversity of landscapes and environments in a small area, sandy beaches as far as the eye can see, golden plains and mountains, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city with a millennial heritage.

In Lisbon you can practice water sports, play golf on the best courses in the world, contemplate nature, experience the most novel well-being treatments, or just get out into the country and discover unbeatable heritage, wines and cuisine.

Digital Nomads in Lisbon

For Digital nomads there are a few must have's when they have to decide where they are going to live and work for the next weeks or months.

Here are a few reasons why Lisbon and Portugal can be that next stop:

The cost of living in Lisbon is considered by most of the foreigners to be low. Here you’ll find accommodation and restaurants that suit every taste, budget and requirement.

Life is very peaceful and safe in Portugal. We are the 3rd most peaceful country in the world among 163 countries (Global Peace Index 2020).

Most remote workers in Lisbon tend to stay for a couple of months before moving on. So it’s relatively easy to find someone who wants to grab a drink or head to the beach.

The public transport network in the city is very efficient and accessible. You can choose between subways, trams, commuter trains, ferries, but you can also take a bike ride along the cycle path near the river at any time.

Lisbon is knowned for its cafe scene, and nowadays, most of them have free Wi-Fi. But if you’re looking for a more permanent spot to work from, there’s always one of the many coworking spaces available including Lisbon Workhub.

Working in Lisbon

Lisbon Workhub is located in Braço de Prata in Lisbon’s west side at walking distance from the river and Parque Ribeirinho do Oriente, which extends along 650 meters of riverfront, with gardens and sun loungers that invite you to run, ride a bike, have picnics or read a book.

The story tells that in the course of the industrial development, Marvila became ‘the wine district’ with numerous wine and olive warehouses that today serve as the fundaments of the new ‘hyped’ vibe of the neighborhood!

Then, for years, with the technological boost and waves of mass tourism, the neighbourhood stood stranded and forgotten, to finally become the coolest part of Lisbon!

The abandoned factories and warehouses were transformed into numerous cafés, breweries,  restaurants, art galleries, sports facilities, a jazz music school and the Lisbon WorkHub!

Lisbon WorkHub is a shared workspace in an industrial, high-tech setting focused on sustainability. Here we like to work at the speed of Lisboa and be inspired by the neighborhood influences. We reconcile what is fundamental between old and new by giving life to historic buildings and envisioning different working spaces with an essence, for those who value the past and look upon the future.

We started working on our second project in Marvila, in the beginning of 2020 and this allowed us to tweak some details to ensure it would respond to this new normal. The air conditioning and ventilation systems, the organization of different work spaces, lock automation options, accessibility, were everything was chosen with the safety and comfort of residents in mind.

Digital dropshiping nomads can enjoy the flexibility of coworking spaces finding the best conditions to develop their business at the Lisbon Workhub. We are open 24/7 and offer high speed wi-fi that guarantees the connectivity whenever they need and also a serie of services that in the "traditional office" you would have to hire and manage separately, ensuring the flexibility that is so needed and valuable nowadays.

Lisbon WorkHub has 2800 sqm distributed in three distinct areas:

1. The coworking space, with a central open space with 42 seats and a lounge area with another 20 seats and also private offices ranging from 8sqm to 100sqm for those who need more privacy. In this space we also have meeting rooms, a canteen, a multipurpose room with 160sqm and there is a shower in each bathroom.

2. A warehouse space, with 8sqm to up to 50sqm boxes, to be rented as an add on to the coworking membership.

3. And a restaurant, a multi-concept by chef Chakall that brings together three of his restaurants: pizzeria, sushi and burger.
